چکیده

Cyclic Ethers (CEs) belong to a class of compounds importance understand the chemistry both engine auto-ignition hydrocarbon fuels and combustion oxygenated biofuels. This article, divided in six parts, aims at systematically analyzing how up-to-date experimental theoretical methods were applied unveil gas-phase oxidation these compounds. The first part gives brief overview on significance CEs as intermediates formed during alkane low-temperature summarizing its generally accepted chemical mechanism. also addresses role potential biofuels derived from lignocellulosic biomass discusses production molecules their performances engine. second presents different dedicated calculate electronic structure, thermochemical kinetic data CEs. third introduces used studies related with special focus mass spectrometry gas chromatography. fourth reviews modeling CE formation linear, branched, cyclic alkanes, alkylbenzenes, olefins, fuels. fifth analyses published work concerning degradation highlights dominant involved reactions. To finish, sixth concludes proposes future research directions.
